What is Brow Lamination?

By now you should have heard the words "Brow Lamination", if you haven't, I'm not sure where you have been hiding! Don't worry though, after this you will know exactly what it is and no doubt be booking in for one.

Over the past 10 years we have seen a massive shift in brows, lots of new trends come and go but the brow lamination is here to stay.

A brow lamination also called a brow lift and will always include a brow sculpt, is essential a perm for your brows. Now don't let that word scare you off I promise your brows won't look like an 80's perm. The process of a brow lamination redirects the hairs and changes the shape of the hair themselves. This is a two step process that creates a fuller, flatter and sometimes "fluffy" look.

How to prep for your brow lamination

Don't touch your brows for at least 2-4 weeks before your appointment. The longer the better, this will allow more growth to play with. That's the only long term "prep" you will need to do, we also recommend not using fake tan, acids and retinol at least 48 hours before your appointment.

How to care for your brow lamination

The only major after care for your brow lamination is to not wet them for at least 24 hours. This allows to

hair to set in their now shape. If your brows if a little dry you can use oils this will hydrate the hair and give them a soft feel. We also recommend you brush the hairs daily into the desired position. While they have been "set" in a new form the hairs can still get a bit messy when you sleep. Once you have brushed them they should stay in place all day. Using a clear brow gel will help set them in place.

What are the risks ?

If you have sensitive skin we would recommend going and getting a patch test done as the chemicals that are used can be quite strong for some people. For people with thin, fine brow hair this is not the right service for you. It can potentially strip the hair and be damaging if they are already fragile. Other than that the only other risk is if you like the look or not as once it's done it can not be reversed. It will have to grow out. So do your research and if you like the look, then jump right in!!

How long does a brow lamination last?

Depending on your brow growth this service should last anywhere from 4-8 weeks and cost

$110. That will include your lamination, brow sculpt and brow tint. This is generally around a 45 min service.

We hope we have answered some of your brow lamination questions. If we haven't feel free to message and ask !!
